PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

CAREER ACTION PLAN

WHERE AM I NOW?

Currently, I am a HND photography student at Southport College, I am working my way towards qualifying as a photographer, I have all of my GCSEs and have D*D*D* in Art and Design (Level 3, EXTENDED DIPLOMA). I have an online portfolio and blog where all of my work is portrayed for people to see, I post them on my blog so my teachers and (clients) are able to see what I am doing and where I am up to with my units.

MY PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

My personal characteristics are a numerous amount of different things, but obviously not everything. I am developing my confidence since I have started this course, I am driven towards what I want to get and when ever I am determined and I put my mind and my all towards it I will achieve it. The main thing that I think I need to focus on the most is my time management, I am good with handing things in on time, but I lack a bit on everything else but I have come a long way and I have helped myself a lot, I just need to keep it up. I know that I am a creative individual, and I am always driven towards what I want to get. I focus mainly on things that I like the most, for example: If I was to get given a project I would focus on things that I enjoyed to do and things I like doing; If I was to be given a project I didn’t like I would still put my all into it because I like to achieve the best in everything I can. I work in a yoga studio because my other passion from photography and art is fitness. I show clients how I am determined in both career pathways. I completed a level 3 in Art and Design as well as a level 3 in Personal Training / Fitness Instructor, this is because I like to keep my options wide so I know I have many different pathways I could walk down. i have good drawing skills and good working knowledge in the fitness industry and good knowledge of photography. I am also very driven towards the fashion industry, this is what I focus on mainly whilst doing my photography units because its a great way for  me to look closer into the fitness industry. I am also enjoyable of the portraiture side of photography which is why I like to collaborate my fashion images within portraiture images. My main focus for photography would be to focus on my camera and lighting skills and keep trying to achieve more and more, hopefully by the end of this course.
