DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY :UNIT 31

Updated: Mar 7, 2019

For this workshop, I wanted to take my work to a further level, other than just using a camera, I wanted to experiment more with different methods of taking an image.

To take it to the next level, I decided I wanted to take photographs in the same style of distortion but in a way I wouldn't have to edit on any other device.

I used a digital photocopier to get these images, me and a friend tried to take the image making further, so all we had to do for these images was press our face onto the scanner and press the lid down on the back of our heads to block any distractions in the background. For this process I didn't have to print any images off as it was a digital photocopier I was just able to e-mail them over to myself.

As I am focusing on distortion imagery, I liked the idea of how the image is instantly made distorted before its already been taken, I love how the scanner has had this impact on the image; I really like how these images have turned out. I would like to take these images further, by developing more of them but with different models and maybe try editing them digitally as well.
