LIVERPOOL EVENTS :UNIT 11

Jake Scott Rigby

Updated: Mar 7, 2019

These images where all taken on Lime Street, Christmas markets in Liverpool in December, 2018. I had a mixture of different images but these are the main three that caught my eye the most. The lighting in each of them is different and shows each image in a different way. I really like how the image to the right has a very dark tone. For this image I turned the exposure to -4.5 this was to make the lights on the object stand out the most. I love how this image has a division of two tones of light, as the sky in the picture is shown quiet brightly as well as the actual lights on the structure.

As for this image, the colours are the thing that stand out the most. They all work against each other to collaborate. As it was December when I took these images the sky was dark and gloomy already, so there wasn't any sunlight coming through the camera. I set the exposure to -1.0 and I captured some images with the exposure set on (0.0). I really liked how this one turned out because it shows how the bright colours still stand out whilst its set to a dark tone

This picture is my favourite out of them all; only because of how the object I was focusing on the most was the object that stood out the most. These star decorations where on one of the stalls at the christmas markets and I saw how there was many other photographers photographing all random little things but these decorations didn't seem to het recognised by anybody. So I went from a low angle and set the exposure to -2.0 and focused my camera on the decorations. I love how the camera blurred out the background but still made the building have a massive impact on the image and has a effect over the image because it stands out just as much as the star decorations.
